Come and learn tai chi; the art of relaxation, movement and mindfulness. You will learn to free your body, relax your mind and engage with the chi or vital energy.
The retreat will focus on using Tai Chi moves and principles plus Qigong to enable you to learn how to relax and develop your internal energy. Attention will focus on what it means to relax; releasing tension and opening the body; focusing the mind and experiencing the Chi or vital energy.
No previous experience is necessary, beginners are very welcome, and existing practitioners or returners to Tai Chi or Qigong will benefit from insights in ways to develop the internal world. Simple gentle moves and sequences will be learnt that can used on a daily basis for practice.
Working with set moves as well as innovative ways of exploring tai chi principles, Phil will help you to find your tai chi body. Special attention is given to the idea of release; to principles of body alignment and relaxation; to grounding, balance and connecting with nature in a way that’s easy to learn and remember.
You’ll take home a treasure store of simple tai chi and qigong moves and exercises to keep the chi (life force) flowing in your life.
